First time you had stitches?

I was four and I slipped in the tub and slammed my chin on the side. So I got 4 stitches and a scar I can still see!

Jelly or Cream Cheese?

Jelly! I can make jelly but I can't make Cream Cheese!

Feeling Stressed... Need to be uplifted

Cross

A few months ago my husbands company was sold to another company. We found out two weeks ago every employee is taking a $20,000 a year paycut. His first paycheck at this new rate comes this week. We are so worried and stressed about money. We were skating through before and saving a little. Now we will barely be making it. I know God won't give you more than you can handle but I wonder just how much I can take this year. I lost my Grandmother in January to her third bout with cancer. This lead to my whole family moving 6 hours away to live with my Mom in February. I have never felt so alone. I saw my Twin and my Nieces EVERY WEEKEND. Now Tristan asks about Grandma a ton. He also says things she used to say to him. He will come up and say give me a little snuggle. I explained to him about God and Angels, but at 2 years old I don't really think he gets it. Someone was terminated at work so we are down to two legal assistants for now, so that is a little more crazy. I just feel like I keep getting dumped on. I know I shouldn't be so down, more people have it way worse than I do.

Do to the money situation I can't finish school and I am two classes away from my degree, but since I pay out of pocket I can't afford the $2,000 next semester. We also put baby number 2 on hold. Lets face it Rick isn't getting any younger so who knows if we will ever have a second.

I Heart Faces: Slice of Life

Tristan was so excited that it snowed. He played for a long time outside. Me I wish for Spring again. I am supposed to go see the Cherry Blossoms on Friday and go figure it is supposed to snow again mid week and Friday! I hope the little trees make it, flowers in tact!

A dried bay leaf from the kitchen cabinet on a cake board. Hey it was snowing and cold. LOL, so I improvised.

Big Steals at the Grocery Store this week!

I have been working on saving money. We used to go to the grocery store a few times a week and never clip coupons or pay attention to sale items. This week I went in with a goal. Clip coupons and only buy on sale. Well it paid off I spent $200.11 after saving 41% or $139.68.

We had a few big steals.

Gatorade: Normally $1.69, they were on sale 10 for $10, then there was a coupon for buy 10 get 5 free, with a 10 max for free. So we bought 30 for $20. This made them $.67. Saving over $1 each!

Chunk light tuna in water is normally $1.00 a can. I got them 2 for $1.00 so that is a 50% savings.

Cheerios were on sale for $2.99 a big box and I had a save $3.99 coupon on one. SO I got the box FREE plus another $1.00 off. They PAID me to take them.

Those are just some of the bigger deals. Everything I bought was on sale except bananas.

Washington DC at Sundown

My very best internet friend came into town for work. We met up on St. Patrick's day after work to see the sites. I feel like we are best friends it was so fun. We walked 5 miles and my calorie burner said I burned over 600 calories. So it was a work-out too. Here are some of my favorite sites from the night. The only editing I did to them was Auto Color, Auto Level and Auto Contrast. The sky was beautiful.
